Dr. Dunn’s treatments are derived from her training as a naturopathic physician, Classical Chinese Medicine acupuncturist and herbalist, and extensive postgraduate fertility training. Her multidisciplinary treatment approach is an effective way to support your goal of building a family and offers lasting health benefits beyond fertility.

Evaluations will address the whole person: family history, medical history, environmental exposures, physical activity level, diet, sleep patterns, stressors – and how these factors may impact your ability to get pregnant. Problems can manifest as hormonal imbalances (irregular periods, luteal phase defects, impaired ovulation, polycystic ovarian syndrome), decreased sperm production or quality, obesity, or metabolic syndrome. For those not already under the care of a fertility specialist, Dr. Dunn offers lab testing to check ovarian reserve, hormone levels, thyroid imbalances and several other diagnostic markers of reproductive health. This allows her to take a functional approach to fertility care, further informs the direction of her treatments, and allows her to make appropriate and timely referrals as needed.

Dr. Dunn uses the best techniques in fertility acupuncture along with the latest research in Reproductive Endocrinology to help you prepare for your most successful cycle. Treatments support most assisted reproduction cycle types including: Fresh, Frozen, Non-donor, Donor, Gestational Carrier, PGS, ICSI, IUI. Dr. Dunn will work hand-in-hand with your reproductive endocrinologist or OB/GYN to ensure coordinated care, working around your IVF or IUI cycle schedule to best complement and support your ART treatments.  Her goal is to improve your response to fertility medications, improve uterine lining, reduce stress and anxiety, reduce side effects from fertility medications, and ultimately prepare your body for a healthy pregnancy.
